The Nestlé factory in Buk, Hungary is studying expansion alternatives. The factory will be increased in various phases, with an important first step to increase the capacity. A simulation study was required in order to verify that the capacity of the packaging line is sufficient to handle the additional SKUs, to determine the optimal routing from the new storage area to the existing package lines and to evaluate several equipment layouts.
