The simulation included the vessel arrival, berth selection based on routes to storage tanks depending on the customer, the selection of a route on the terminal whilst not jeopardizing claiming infrastructure that might also be required by other arrivals. The solution has led to an optimal infrastructure setup on the terminal and the introduction of dedications of infrastructure.
