After a successful webinar on Just-In-Time for Ports, we decided to open two new other sessions for everyone in the American time zone, as well as in the Asia Pacific.
How can digitalization represent a step toward the port of tomorrow? Looking for ways to optimize your resources and support Just-in-Time arrivals & departures? Join us at the webinar "Digitalization: Rethinking Just-In-Time for Ports" either on 30 June from 11:00 AM - 12:00 AM EDT for the American time zone or on 7 July from 2:00-3:00 PM Singapore time to discuss more on this topic.
During these live webinars, we will define the concept of Just-In-Time arrivals & departures and its key drivers. We will also present possible benefits of this approach while discussing obstacles & barriers to its implementation.
We will show you some examples and demonstrate some specific cases of how digitalization and our in-house developed platform "Dropboard for Ports" can help you implement Just-In-Time.

Vincent Mazzola, Systems Navigator Technical Sales Engineer, will give a presentation on "Digitalization: Rethinking Just-In-Time for Ports". Join us!
Abstract
Ports have a pivotal role between sea and land traffic. They are the bridge between many industrial sectors. As a consequence, they deal with major complex challenges:
being front runners in the reduction of greenhouse gases emissions
providing high-quality service in a safe and healthy working place resulting in higher customer satisfaction and
staying within the limit of fixed budgets.
Engineers and logistics experts are constantly trying to find solutions for ports to perform in an optimal way. Just-In-Time arrival, which aims to optimize the arrival time of a ship and the availability of required port resources in order to minimize waiting times, is one of the solutions. To do this, a planning and scheduling platform is required to quickly allocate port resources and share resource planning information within the supply chain.
First, we will define the concept of Just-In-Time arrivals and departures. Second, it is key to understand the importance of Just-In-Time in ports and why its implementation can be a good solution to improve efficiency. Third, we will evaluate potential benefits of the implementation of Just-In-Time and quantify them.
We will explore barriers and obstacles that can potentially make the implementation of Just-In-Time a challenging task for ports and the maritime supply chain. Some examples will be shown and specific cases are demonstrated of how digitalization and our in-house developed platform "Dropboard for Ports" can contribute to helping you implement Just-In-Time.
Why Attend?
- Explore the Just-In-Time concept and why it is at the edge of the new operational way of working for ports
- Exchange knowledge with other experts in the Ports industry
- Increase your knowledge: Learn how Just-In-Time can benefit your Port
