German LNG Terminal chooses Systems Navigator to optimize Terminal utilization

Updated: Mar 11, 2020

DELFT; November 29, 2019 - German LNG Terminal selected Systems Navigator to advise on Terminal optimization and process improvements.

Systems Navigator assists German LNG Terminal with the design of a terminal Annual Delivery Plan (ADP). The project team uses a tool that assists German LNG to test and compare different design, throughput alternatives and identify the best setup which maximizes throughput, whilst taking into account the terminal constraints.

The project resulted in a thorough understanding of the expected terminal performance with a focus on:

· Understanding the impact of combining all customer proposed Annual Nomination Schedules;

· Impact of various commercial and scheduling rules;

· Understanding the flexible berthing slots characteristics;

· Contracted, scheduled and actual throughput.

According to German LNG: “We have been working with Systems Navigator since 2018. Very recently, Systems Navigator developed an ADP generation solution for us. By using this solution, we can now test & compare different throughput alternatives. This solution provides us with a deeper understanding of the impact of combining all customer proposed Annual Nomination Schedules. We are very happy with the results as this allows us to optimize throughput, whilst taking into account the terminal constraints.” – stated Guus Vogels, Business Development Manager German LNG.

On Systems Navigator side: “ It was very pleasant to work with the German LNG Terminal on this project. Both teams spoke the same language and managed to quickly and accurately implement the ADP generation solution with all relevant constraints. We are looking forward to continuing working with German LNG on new planning and scheduling services and solutions .” – stated Vincent de Gast, Systems Navigator Director.

About German LNG
