Simio Training

Simulation, Planning and Scheduling

An overview of the different type of courses is presented below. Contact us to schedule your customized training.

Introduction to Simio

Duration:

- This one-day course provides a fast start for understanding how Simio effectively solves real problems.

Description:

- It starts with a brief overview of simulation technology, appropriate use, and the Simio modeling framework.

- The Standard Library is used to solve a variety of problems exploring the fixed and dynamic objects, as well as the various ways entities move through the model and interact with other objects.

- It then overviews innovative features to work with model data and ends with the interpretation of simulation results.

Target group:

- This course is suitable for all types of audience and it is recommended for those who use simulation infrequently, or who desire a lighter command of simulation technology. In particular, the early sessions of the course are for those who manage or work with simulationists.

Simio Standard Training

Duration:

- This two- to three-day training session starts with the same material covered in the Introduction to Simio course.

Description:

- Significant time will be spent on extending model logic with add-on processes and building object definitions.

- It will add extra depth to the previously covered topics of working with model data and interpreting simulation results.

- It will end with a discussion of how to ensure the success of your simulation projects.

Target group:

- This course is suitable for all types of audience and it is recommended for those who use simulation infrequently, or who desire a lighter command of simulation technology. In particular, the early sessions of the course are for those who manage or work with simulationists.

Accelerated Simio Training

Duration:

- This two- to three-day course is similar to the Simio Standard Training, but with a focus on the Simio product itself, and will not cover general simulation topics like the appropriate use of simulation, simulation benefits, statistical analysis, and project success skills.

Description:

- It covers all of the Simio-specific topics at a slightly faster pace and in greater detail.

- This course is often supplemented with topics of special interest to the attendees and/or project jump-start advice.

Target group:

- This course is appropriate only for technical people with previous simulation background.

On-site Training

Duration:

- This is usually a two- to three-day course (can be adjusted to your needs).

Description:

- Besides public training, Systems Navigator offers both standard and customized training classes that can be taught at your preferred time and location.

- These classes offer the opportunity to focus the training material on the types of applications that you encounter.

- The on-site training class can also be extended to include "jump-start" consulting on one or more specific modeling applications. Please contact us for more information regarding this option.

Target group:

- This course is appropriate for technical people with previous simulation background.

University Training

Description:

- Simio makes it easy to obtain, learn and teach what your students need in order to meet the demands of the next generation technology.

- Over 800 universities are already using Simio and the number is growing continuously.

- To find out how your university can start teaching the latest in simulation software, view the Simio Academic Resources.

Target group:

- Simio makes top quality training software available to instructors, students, and researchers within the Academic environment.
