Bayer needed to assess the potential impacts of changes to tank usage rates, barge arrivals, and the number of staging and load/unload areas for avoiding plant shutdown. The company turned to Rockwell Automation for development of a simulation model of Baytown’s barge dock operations using Arena simulation software.
