Vacancy Analyst (m/f) – full-time

Systems Navigator is seeking an entry level analyst to join our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team. The applicant will support the project manager and the consultants on various consulting projects involving modeling, simulation and operational scheduling. You will work on exciting projects in the oil and gas industry, with focus on the upstream logistics.

 

For the first two years this position is based at the client office in the UK (London Greater Area). After the first two years the position will be based in Delft, The Netherlands.

 

Systems Navigator is a fast growing Delft based small-business, and we assist clients in making better decisions through the application of advanced decision support tools. The Systems Navigator team has extensive experience working with leading computer simulation software. We help our clients to design their logistics in order to succeed across various industries.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Perform analyses using existing simulation models

·        Apply and develop statistical analysis and database tools to assist in the evaluation of input data for use             in the model and output data generated by simulation runs.

·        Preparing result visualizations

·        Test simulation models and run simulations using leading computer simulation software (Arena and                   Simio).

·        Verify conceptual models of processes and provide recommendations for designing the formal model.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

·        Strong comprehension of statistics, data analytics and designing of experiments.

·        Experience of using Discrete Event Simulation (DES) for the purpose of analyzing processes.

·        Solid understanding of the science of Modeling and Simulation.

·        Strong communication skills; job requires direct customer contact

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

·        0-3 year(s) work experience.

·        Bachelor and/or Graduate studies in Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Industrial             Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or Information Systems.

·        Expert level in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Visio).

·        Basic knowledge of database

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·        Genuine interest and experience in solving industry problems through the use of scientific software with           emphasis on data analytics.

·        Modeling and simulation development in one of the leading general application simulation software                   packages Simio or Arena, etc.

·        Management or engineering consulting experience or internship reference in a modeling and simulation           role.

·        Experience with Business intelligence tools (Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI)

·        Proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills (samples of written work desired).

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Work authorization (European Community Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Greater London Area (Until December 31st 2020)

Delft, The Netherlands (From January 1st 2021)
