SN utility template

Systems Navigator is proud to present for a public use an internally developed SN Utility template. This template contains 7 modules which, in our opinion, make modeling of a certain logic quicker and with a greater ease. This template can easily be integrated with Scenario Navigator projects for more effective and error free data input and output. The modules are the following:

1) Display module - Displays variable name and value during the model run
2) Display Date module - Allows display of time and date in many different variations of the date and time format
3) Assign and Display module - Analogous to Arena “Assign” module, but has more features and added functionality
4) Get Date module – Allows to assign various attributes related to date and time in different formats and languages
5) Data Reader module - Allows to read the text file with data and write to a variable in Arena
6) Result Writer module - Allows to write variable data into a file; has multiple options to setup how data must be written
7) Log Writer module - Allows to write variable data into a file as log periodically, based on an event or at the time of the simulation end. Also has other useful functionality

What do I need to do to use the template? I have tried opening it with Arena but it tells me it is an unexpected file format.

Hi Sean,
The file SN_Utitlty.tpo cannot be opened by a doubleclick. You can add the template manually in Arena:

1. open Arena

2. Go to File >Template panel > Attatch...

3. Select the .tpo file. Now it is added in your project bar

Thanks for that, I've now added it to Arena.

Is there a user guide to go with it? I can't work out how the new modules are used or what they do....
