When installing Scenario Navigator 3.3.1 it downloads by default Microsoft SQL Server express SP2. To use Service Pack 3, follow the next steps:
- When installing SN, it downloads SQL SP2 by default. To avoid time consuming downloading or manual installation, you can place the required files locally.
- Create a folder "Dependecies" one level deeper that the setup file for SN. (watch the spelling of Dependecies; we misspelled it by accident).
- In the folder Dependecies you load 1 or 2 files (choose which files you need). This construction allows you to have SN automatically install and configure SQL SP3 in a proper way. Also .NET Framework 3.5 is required by SN. The files required:
dotNetFx35.exe (Framework 3.5) (download this file from Microsoft website: http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... etfx35.exe)
SQLEXPR32.EXE (SQL Server Express SP3) (download this file from Microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/Sqlserver/2005 ... -down.aspx) - After adding these files, run the Scenario Navigator setup, and these programms will be installed and configured automatically.
